Using Polythene bags to store trading cards?

I’m using small coin bags, which I believe to be made of Polythene, to store trading cards. Is there any risk to my collection such as yellowing etc. if left in long term sealed storage? Sources?

i would get real hard (and/or soft) cases for it [protection] and keep it away from the sun
